Wreath across America – National Cemetery Bourne December 12, 2019

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission  to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,600 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad which includes Bourne National Cemetery.

The Knights of Columbus are very active in raising money to donate to purchase these wreaths. This year at Bourne National cemetery they were able to lay 14,000 wreaths.

Tom Weiser joined the Knights 4th degree honor guard to provide an honor guard in placing a ceremonial wreath for each branch of the military.  Tom Weiser father, Bill Weiser was in the Coast Guard during WW2 and is buried in Bourne. See picture of Tom and his mother, Helen with the Coast Guard officer who placed the ceremonial wreath for the Coast guard.
