Faith in Action
Faith in Action is the name for the Knights of Columbus program for council activities and charitable works. The Lynn Knights plan programs in the four faith in action categories each year to help each member become involved in the council in a manner that helps him and his family put their faith into action.
Member meetings generally take place on the first Tuesday of every month. Meetings are where the business of the council takes place such as voting on donations, discussing upcoming events and giving committee reports. Prior to every meeting some of our members pray the rosary together
7:00 - Rosary
7:30 - Meeting
Throughout the year, the Lynn Knights holds various social events that focus on gathering our members and their families in order to help create a Catholic community. These events are a key way in which the Knights live our the principal of Fraternity. Social events are shared on Facebook and in our email newsletter.
Additionally, some members of the council will attend State Knights of Columbus events in order to extend our fraternity beyond the members of our own council.
The council hall which is owned by the Valladolid Building Association is open on Tuesday and Friday nights for members to come and socialize. There are pool tables and dart boards available.
Men interested in becoming Knights are always welcome to visit, but we encourage you to reach out to our Grand Knight or membership director as well. Click here for their contact information.
Bingo and Charitable Giving
Every Thursday Night the Lynn Knights hosts charitable Bingo which is a bingo game regulated by the Mass Lottery. The net income of the program is used to support our charitable giving. Every month the council gives out around 1,000 dollars to registered non-profits. This charitable giving is possible due to the hard work of members who give time every week to make this program successful.
Come down on Thursday afternoons to play or volunteer.
Every year the Lynn Knights awards tens of thousands scholarships to deserving recipients through our own scholarshop fund and the Cunningham Scholarship fund.
